Summer fun most always includes a road trip, but along with it comes food you’d never think about eating at home. Chips, candy, slushies, and a McDonald’s at every mile marker are what you are faced with. After, you’ve spent the entire spring getting ready for shorts and that new bathing suit had to have. However, with a little smart packing and a good plan you can eat healthy no matter what your limited choices maybe.
If your only option is a ….

For Immediate Release: April 27, 2010
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Although it’s been a sluggish year for plastic surgery due to the economy, the long-term outlook is more encouraging. According to statistics released today by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), 12.5 million cosmetic plastic surgery procedures were performed in the United States in 2009, down 1 percent from 2008; up 69 percent since 2000.
“The industry has experienced some economic downturn during the later part of the decade due to the recession, but, overall, plastic surgery has seen growth in the first […]
Well, you have finally done it! After weeks, months or even years of contemplating having a cosmetic surgical procedure performed you did it. Now what? You look in the mirror at yourself and finally feel that sense of confidence that you lacked for so long. At least that is how I feel. Yes, I had my nose done, and I LOVE IT! I was bruised and swollen for a few weeks, and my nose is still changing, but it was all worth it, and I would do it all over again if I had to. Do I look different? Some […]
Spring is in the air and fashionista’s around the world are ready to start donning their shorter, lighter fashion items for the warm weather! Year end and year out it seems trends are always changing so I’m hear to shed some light on the latest spring fashion trends!
1) Shoulder Pads. Yes, you heard right. I was able to speak with Jaye Moseley, owner of Excursions (a local fashion boutique Evansville, IN) who let me in on some of the latest trends, including this one. Shoulder pads these days are worn more subtle and the shoulder pads are thinner than they […]
Last week I brought you the newest trend information on Spring hairstyles and this week I’ll be giving you the latest, hottest makeup trends this Spring!

We are finally heading out of the winter blues, and onto a much more colorful time of the year-Spring! I’m here to let you in on the hottest hair trends of the spring season.
1) Keep hair simple and soft. The runway is full of clothes that have busy colors and bold patterns so keeping the hair simple is the way to go
2) Keep accessories minimal. A few exposed bobby pins are just enough.
3) Short, sporty cuts are the way to go. Think Victoria Beckham.
4) Don’t fight your hair’s natural texture. Go natural, whether it’s wavy or straight.
5) RED is the […]
One week ago we held a breast augmentation class here at Dr. Conkright’s office. It was the first time we have ever put together an event like this, but it turned out to be a huge success! We had a very nice crowd who filled up our lobby. A lot of individuals brought a friend with them too! We offered beverages, cheese, and fruit to all of our guests. We started the class with a brief introduction and then followed with a short video produced by the ASPS about breast augmentation. Dr. Conkright then took over and spoke about breast […]
By now, most have heard that Haiti was struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12, 2010. It was absolutely devastating to wake up to the news of that horrific disaster. It was an unbelievable turn for the worse for an already impoverished country. Below are the latest figures regarding the destruction in Haiti (courtesy of CNN.com):
THE TOLL
150,000: Latest estimate of the death toll, from the Haitian Health Ministry. The European Union and the Pan American Health Organization, which is coordinating the health-sector response, have estimated the quake killed 200,000 people.
194,000: Number of injured
134: Estimated number of people rescued […]
It seems these days people are “addicted” to anything and everything. From the most common addictions such as alochol and drugs to the more modern addictions such as sex (Tiger Woods anyone?) to plastic surgery. I’m here to talk about Heidi Montag, the girl from The Hills reality series on MTV. She recently revealed her new look in People magazine after going under the knife for an unbelievable 10 procedures back in November 2009.
Now look, I can understand her first plastic surgery experience because she had just come to Hollywood where “everyone” is beautiful and she wanted to fit in. […]
