Arm Lift & Thigh Lift in Evansville, IN

Board-Certified Surgeon Serving Newburgh, Henderson, & Vanderburgh County

Excess skin on the upper arms or inner thighs is one of the most common concerns following significant weight loss — and one of the most difficult to address through diet and exercise alone. No matter how hard you work to stay fit, loose or sagging skin in these areas simply does not respond to lifestyle changes. It is a structural issue, not a fitness one, and it requires a surgical solution.

Arm lift (brachioplasty) and thigh lift (thighplasty) at Conkright Aesthetics address these concerns with precision and care — removing excess skin and refining contours to create smoother, more defined arms and thighs that are proportionate to the rest of the body. Both procedures share a similar philosophy: strategic tissue removal, careful scar placement, and a focus on natural, lasting results.

At Conkright Aesthetics, arm lift and thigh lift procedures are frequently performed together — or in combination with other body contouring procedures — as part of a comprehensive post-weight-loss body contouring plan tailored to each patient's specific anatomy and goals.

What Is an Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)?

Brachioplasty is a surgical procedure that reshapes the underside of the upper arm — from the armpit to the elbow — by removing excess skin and, when appropriate, excess fat. The result is a smoother, tighter, more toned arm contour that reflects the patient's underlying fitness rather than being obscured by loose or hanging skin.

Arm lifts are commonly performed using BeautiFill® laser-assisted liposuction to address residual fat alongside skin removal — providing a more refined and comprehensive result.

What Is a Thigh Lift (Thighplasty)?

Thighplasty is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the inner or outer thighs — restoring smoother, more toned thigh contours and improving the overall proportion and appearance of the lower body. Depending on the location and degree of laxity, a thigh lift may address the inner thigh, outer thigh, or both.

Like an arm lift, thigh lift surgery is frequently combined with liposuction — using the BeautiFill® laser-assisted system — to further refine contours alongside skin removal.

What Are the Benefits?

Both arm lift and thigh lift procedures share a compelling set of benefits:

  • Removes loose, sagging skin that does not respond to diet or exercise
  • Creates smoother, more toned and defined contours in the upper arms and thighs
  • Improves comfort — eliminating skin-on-skin friction, chafing, and irritation
  • Enhances clothing fit — opening up a wider range of styles and sleeve or hem options
  • Improves overall body proportion and balance, particularly following significant weight loss
  • Delivers long-lasting results when combined with a stable, healthy weight
  • Boosts confidence and body image
  • Can be combined with BeautiFill® liposuction for simultaneous fat reduction and skin tightening

Who Are the Best Candidates?

Good candidates for arm lift and thigh lift procedures generally:

  • Have a good, stable weight — these procedures are not weight-loss solutions
  • Have excess loose or sagging skin on the upper arms and/or thighs that does not improve with exercise
  • Are in good overall health without medical conditions that could interfere with surgery or healing
  • Are non-smokers or willing to stop smoking well in advance of surgery
  • Have realistic expectations about outcomes, including permanent but well-placed scarring
  • Are committed to maintaining a stable weight to support long-term results

These procedures are particularly well suited for patients who have experienced significant weight loss — whether through lifestyle changes, bariatric surgery, or GLP-1 medications — and are left with excess skin that prevents them from fully appreciating the results of their efforts.

A note on realistic expectations: Dr. Conkright and his team will do everything possible to thoroughly assess your goals and provide a realistic, personalized surgical plan. Both brachioplasty and thighplasty involve permanent scars — carefully placed in discreet locations — that fade significantly over time but do not disappear entirely. Dr. Conkright will discuss scar placement, expected outcomes, and any limitations specific to your anatomy during your consultation.

How to Begin Your Journey

Your arm lift or thigh lift journey begins with a private consultation at Conkright Aesthetics. During your visit, you can expect:

  1. A thorough evaluation of your upper arms and/or thighs — including skin quality, degree of laxity, and fat distribution
  2. A detailed discussion of your goals and concerns
  3. A customized surgical plan — which may include brachioplasty, thighplasty, or both, combined with BeautiFill® liposuction as appropriate
  4. A review of anesthesia options, including in-office "awake" procedures under local anesthesia
  5. Pre-operative instructions covering medications, lifestyle adjustments, and recovery preparation

What to Expect on the Day of Surgery

From the moment you arrive, you will receive the full attention of Dr. Conkright and our staff, with your comfort, safety, and anticipated outcome at the forefront of everything we do.

Arm lift and thigh lift procedures at Conkright Aesthetics may be performed in-office under local anesthesia with tumescent technique and/or mild sedation — a comfortable, low-risk approach that often supports a smoother, faster recovery. Cases requiring general anesthesia are performed on an outpatient basis at SurgiCare Saint Vincent Ascension or Deaconess Women's Hospital.

Arm Lift: Dr. Conkright makes an incision on the inside or back of the upper arm — the exact length and location determined by the degree of skin laxity and the amount of tissue to be removed. Excess skin and fat are carefully removed, and the remaining skin is tightened and closed with fine sutures. BeautiFill® laser-assisted liposuction may be incorporated to further refine the arm contour.

Thigh Lift: Incisions are placed in discreet locations — typically in the groin crease for inner thigh lifts, or along the outer hip for lateral thigh lifts — to minimize visible scarring. Excess skin is removed, underlying tissues are tightened, and the remaining skin is repositioned and closed. BeautiFill® laser-assisted liposuction may be incorporated alongside skin removal for a more comprehensive result.

Combining with Other Procedures

For patients who have lost significant weight, arm lift and thigh lift are often performed alongside other body contouring procedures — such as tummy tuck, lower body lift, or breast procedures — as part of a comprehensive post-weight-loss plan. Dr. Conkright will help you prioritize and sequence procedures for the safest and most effective overall outcome.

Recovery

Recovery from arm lift and thigh lift procedures is similar in nature and timeline.

  • First 1–2 weeks: Swelling, bruising, and mild to moderate discomfort are normal and manageable with prescribed medication. Compression garments are worn to reduce swelling and support healing. Arms should be kept elevated when possible during the first week.
  • Weeks 2–4: Most patients return to light daily activities within 1–2 weeks. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for several weeks as directed by Dr. Conkright.
  • Full recovery: As swelling subsides over the following weeks to months, contours become more refined and defined. Scars will be permanent but fade significantly over time with proper aftercare.

Dr. Conkright and his team will provide detailed instructions for incision care, compression garment use, activity restrictions, and follow-up appointments throughout your recovery.

How Much Does an Arm Lift or Thigh Lift Cost in Evansville?

The cost of brachioplasty and thighplasty at Conkright Aesthetics varies based on the extent of the procedure, the amount of excess skin to be removed, whether liposuction is incorporated, and whether both procedures are performed together or as part of a broader surgical plan. Pricing ranges can be found elsewhere on the website. A personalized cost estimate will be provided during your consultation. Financing options are available for qualifying patients (restrictions apply).
